There are 3 different degrees of difficulty.
Each degree of difficulty has 4 songs and levels.

1st degree: You have projectiles and armour to protect you.
2nd degree: You have only armour to protect you.
3rd degree: You must make it through with nothing to help you.

Pro Tips:
Control the Orb around the screen either using two thumbs or a stylus.
Best place I found to use to move around was placing my finger or stylus on the left side of the screen.
